Garmin GT41-TH – thru-hull transducer for CHIRP DownVü/SideVü sonar
The GT41-TH is a permanently mounted, thru-hull transducer installed in the boat's hull that gives the fish finder a picture of the bottom, underwater structure and fish below and beside the vessel. It works both in traditional sonar mode and in CHIRP technology with DownVü and SideVü functions.
Use and installation
Because this is a thru-hull model, it is mounted through a hole in the bottom of the hull, which usually gives better readings than transducers glued on from the inside. The design is optimized for work at greater depths and in tougher water conditions.
Operating frequencies
The transducer operates in the 300 and 455 kHz range, which lets you combine a classic sonar reading with more detailed DownVü imaging (view beneath the boat) and SideVü imaging (view to the sides of the vessel).
