Akozon - set of 16 hydraulic valve lifters, OEM 420009810

Akozon - set of 16 hydraulic valve lifters

Hydraulic lifters (hydraulic valve tappets) are valve train components that automatically compensate for valve clearance between the camshaft and the valve. Thanks to them the engine runs more quietly, and the valves are seated without the need to adjust the clearance manually.

Symptoms of worn lifters

• A characteristic knocking sound from the cylinder head area, especially after starting a cold engine
• Loss of engine power when the valve does not close tightly
• Insufficient air intake or incomplete exhaust caused by incorrect valve operation

Set contents

The set contains 16 hydraulic lifters made of durable metal, which allows all the elements in the cylinder head to be replaced at the same time - this is the recommended approach, because unevenly worn lifters can cause uneven engine running.

Application

The part is compatible with OEM numbers 420009810, 30109423 and related ones, used in models including Audi A1/A3, Opel Adam/Agila/Combo/Meriva/Tigra, Seat Altea/Arosa/Cordoba/Toledo and Skoda Octavia. Check compatibility with your specific engine before purchase.

Installation

Replacing the lifters requires removing the valve cover and the camshaft, so it is recommended for people with mechanical experience or at a car workshop.
