A cordless planer

The DCP580 is a cordless hand planer with an 82 mm planing width and a maximum cutting depth of 2 mm in a single pass. The brushless motor drives a 48 mm diameter cutter drum at 15,000 rpm, which gives a smooth surface when fitting doors, chamfering edges, leveling beams and working on deck elements.

Stable guidance

• front and rear support protecting the foot and the workpiece surface
• planing depth adjustment with a knob
• aluminum sole
• chip ejection to either side with an AirLock connection for a vacuum cleaner
• grooves in the sole for chamfering edges

Cordless operation makes it easier to fit door leaves on site and to work on elements on a roof or scaffolding, where a cable gets in the way. The weight of the tool with the case is about 3.6 kg.

Bare-tool version

The version without a battery and charger – it fits any DeWALT XR 18V battery, and for longer work 5 Ah cells perform best. The planer is packed in a TSTAK case.
