The Forerunner 165 is a 43 mm Garmin sports watch designed for running and multisport training. It has a bright AMOLED touchscreen complemented by physical buttons, so it is comfortable to use even with gloves or with sweat on your wrist.

Measurement and training modes

Built-in GPS measures pace and distance without a phone, and the optical wrist heart rate sensor monitors your pulse throughout the day. The watch offers more than 25 activity profiles, including running, cycling, strength training and HIIT, and the Garmin Coach function suggests personalized training plans for a specific goal, for example a run of a chosen distance.

Daily fitness overview

After you wake up, the watch shows a morning report summarizing sleep, recovery and suggested training load, along with a weather forecast. It also tracks metrics such as HRV, which helps assess whether your body is ready for intense training or needs rest.
