The eTrex SE is the latest edition of Garmin's popular series of hiking GPS receivers, designed for people who need a simple-to-use, durable navigation device that does not depend on phone coverage while hiking, geocaching or off-roading.

Satellite navigation and compass

The device uses several satellite navigation systems at the same time – GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS – which means faster position fixes and a more stable signal in difficult terrain, such as forests or mountain valleys. The built-in digital compass makes orientation easier even when standing still.

Garmin Explore app and geocaching

When connected to the Garmin Explore app, you can update the software wirelessly, plan routes, use additional mapping and receive notifications from your phone. The device also supports the Geocaching Live service with automatic updates of cache descriptions, logs and hints.

Battery and display

Two AA batteries give up to 7 days of operation in standard mode or up to 3 months in expedition mode. The display, readable in full sun, makes it easy to read the map and route even in strong sunlight.
