Garmin eTrex Solar - handheld GPS navigator with solar panel

Garmin eTrex Solar - handheld GPS navigator

eTrex Solar is a handheld hiking navigator with a solar panel that, in sunny weather (from 75,000 lux), can provide practically unlimited run time. On cloudier days, when using the multi-band GNSS receiver, the device runs on battery for up to 100 hours, and in battery saver mode for up to 200 hours.

Navigation and accuracy

The device supports several global satellite navigation systems at once - GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS - which results in more accurate location tracking in difficult terrain, such as dense forest or narrow valleys. The built-in digital compass shows your heading even when you are standing still, without having to move.

Display and geocaching

Waypoints, tracks and favorite places are shown on a high-contrast 2.2-inch display that is readable in sunlight. The device downloads automatic geocache updates from Geocaching Live along with descriptions and hints, and when connected to the Garmin Explore app each find goes straight to your Geocaching.com profile. The housing has an IPX7 water resistance rating.
