Garmin Alpha 10 – handheld GPS transmitter for tracking and training dogs

The Alpha 10 is a compact Garmin handheld device for hunters and owners of hunting dogs, used both to locate dogs in the field and for remote training. The housing is made of plastic and metal, and the device uses a multi-system GNSS receiver.

Dog tracking

Once paired with Garmin T 5 or TT 15 collars (sold separately), the Alpha 10 lets you monitor the location of up to 20 dogs at once, within a range of up to 9 miles and with position updates as often as every 2.5 seconds. Dog location data can also be displayed in a vehicle after connecting to a Garmin DriveTrack navigator.

Remote training

The device lets you tailor training to each dog individually, offering 18 levels of continuous and momentary stimulation as well as a tone. Settings can be changed independently for each collar connected to the system.

Connectivity and battery

The Alpha 10 connects via Wi-Fi to the Garmin Explore app and to the Garmin DriveTrack navigator, and dog location information can also be sent to compatible Garmin watches. The battery lasts about a week on a single charge.
