Garmin GPSMAP 65s - handheld hiking GPS with Europe maps

The GPSMAP 65s is a handheld GPS device with preloaded TopoActive Europe maps showing the road network, trails, watercourses and land use. The receiver uses multi-band satellite navigation GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and IRNSS, which improves position accuracy even in difficult terrain, such as dense forest or narrow valleys.

ABC sensors and navigation

The built-in barometric altimeter, a barometer for monitoring weather changes and a 3-axis electronic compass (ABC sensors) give extra information about your surroundings without relying on GPS alone. The device supports geocaching and works with the Garmin Explore app for route planning.

Connectivity and memory

After pairing with a smartphone over Bluetooth, the GPSMAP 65s displays notifications about emails, text messages and other alerts. The microSD card slot lets you add extra maps, and the built-in memory has a capacity of 32 GB.

Battery and build

The battery lasts up to 16 hours in GPS mode. The screen is 2.6 inches diagonally and is operated with buttons, which makes the device easier to use with gloves or in poor visibility.

Included

GPSMAP 65s, USB cable, carabiner, Garmin carrying case and documentation.
