Garmin GT15M-IH – in-hull transducer

The GT15M-IH is a fishfinder transducer designed for mounting inside a fibreglass hull rather than on the boat's transom. This method of mounting reduces the risk of degraded reading quality at high speed, which can occur with transducers mounted on the outside of the hull due to cavitation.

Sonar and parameters

The transducer supports traditional CHIRP sonar with a centre frequency range from 85 to 165 kHz, at a rated power of 600 W. The housing is suitable for hulls with a deadrise angle from 0 to 25 degrees, which allows reliable depth readings even when the boat is moving fast.

System expansion

The GT15M-IH can be combined with the GT30-TM transducer using an additional adapter cable, so that one fishfinder uses two transducers – one for reading depth at high speeds and the other for sonar functions useful while fishing.
