Garmin Striker Vivid 7sv – fish finder with chartplotter, 7-inch

Garmin Striker Vivid 7sv – fish finder with chartplotter

The Garmin Striker Vivid 7sv is a fish finder with a GPS chartplotter in one device (7-inch screen, vivid sonar colors). The model belongs to the Striker Vivid series, which stands out for a more contrasty, vivid color palette of the sonar image compared to earlier Striker generations.

Sonar and scanning

The "sv" designation in the model name means SideVü scanning, which complements the classic CHIRP sonar. This lets you see the bottom structure and the position of fish to the sides of the boat, not just directly beneath the hull. The vivid color scheme makes it easier to tell the bottom, vegetation and fish apart on the screen.

Navigation

The device has a built-in GPS that lets you mark your own waypoints, create routes and mark good fishing spots on the map. It works on larger motorboats as well as smaller vessels, including kayaks and fishing boats, thanks to the compact size of the display unit.

Use

The model works as a fish finder and a basic GPS chartplotter at the same time, without the advanced navigation functions found in the more expensive ECHOMAP or GPSMAP series. It is a good choice for anglers looking for an easy-to-use set.
