Garmin GT54UHD-TM – All-In-One sonar transducer

The Garmin GT54UHD-TM is a versatile transducer that combines three sonar technologies in one housing: traditional CHIRP, scanning ClearVü and scanning SideVü in Ultra High-Definition resolution. As a result, one device replaces several separate sensors.

Sonar and range

Traditional wide-band CHIRP sonar provides clear target separation and good bottom definition even at great depths, up to 800 feet. Scanning ClearVü shows a detailed image of fish and structure up to 200 feet directly beneath the boat, while scanning SideVü with two frequency settings (455/1200 kHz) images the area to the sides of the boat at ranges of up to 500 feet.

Mounting and connection

The transducer has a universal shape that fits various hulls and mounts on a transom or trolling motor. The kit includes a 20-foot cable with a 12-pin connector, ready to plug into a compatible chartplotter with sonar, for example from the GPSMAP series.

Use

This is a solution for anglers who want both classic sonar for detecting fish in the water column and detailed scanning of the bottom and the area to the sides of the boat in a single transducer, without having to install several separate sensors.
