Sony FE 24-240 mm F3.5-6.3 OSS (SEL24240) – 10x zoom travel lens

Sony FE 24-240 mm F3.5-6.3 OSS – one lens for the whole trip

Ten-times zoom

The SEL24240 is a zoom lens with a Sony E mount for full-frame cameras, such as the Alpha 7 series. The range from 24 mm to 240 mm covers landscape, architecture, portrait and distant details, so on trips it often replaces several lenses. Optical image stabilization makes handheld shots at the long end easier.

Key features

• five aspherical elements and an ED element for sharpness across the frame
• 7-blade, rounded aperture
• linear drive and internal focusing
• minimum focusing distance 0.5-0.8 m, magnification up to 0.27x
• dust- and moisture-resistant construction

Practical information

The lens has a 72 mm filter thread. It also works on APS-C bodies with an E mount, where the range corresponds to approx. 36-360 mm.

Using one lens with such a wide range means fewer lens changes in the field, and therefore a lower risk of dirt on the sensor and a faster reaction to a situation. It is a practical choice for city breaks, vacations and family trips.
