This is a dual-beam fishing transducer intended for ice fishing trips, working with compatible Garmin fish finders. The device's job is to send the fish finder a signal from which a clear picture of the bottom, vegetation and fish below the ice hole appears on the screen.

Frequency and target separation

The transducer operates at 77/200 kHz, which translates into clear target separation – individual fish are easier to see on the screen as separate echoes instead of one blurry blob. This makes it easier to judge whether there is a single fish or a larger school below the hole.

Cable and build

The transducer's silicone cable stays flexible even at the low temperatures found on a frozen body of water – standard PVC cables stiffen and crack in frost, which makes it harder to coil up the gear between holes. The set includes a foam float that keeps the transducer at the right depth under the ice, and a grommet that makes it easier to route the cable through a hole in the ice or the side of an inflatable boat.
