Garmin sun cover for GPSMAP 8410/8610

This is a magnetic sun cover with a diameter of 25 cm (10 inches), designed for Garmin marine chartplotters from the GPSMAP 8410 and 8610 series. It is placed over the chartplotter screen when the device is not in use, protecting the display from intense sun and loss of contrast.

Mounting and use

The cover attaches magnetically directly to the chartplotter housing, without extra screws or clips, so it can be put on and taken off quickly before every trip. It works both with dashboard mounting on the boat and with mounting on brackets in front of the cabin windshield.

Compatibility

The model is fitted to the Garmin GPSMAP 8410, 8410xsv, 8610 and 8610xsv marine chartplotters, that is devices with a 10-inch touchscreen from the 8x10 series. The cover is lightweight, so putting it on does not strain the chartplotter's mounting structure, while it effectively limits the heating of the housing in full sun during a long stay in port or at anchor.
